Feelin good

Haven't posted in a lil bit... but feelin good again, really startin to get very comfortable with my game and think a lot of good things to come! :).... Pretty sick accomplishment for me, shipped the FTP 75k twice in a week, July 31st and last night, Aug 6. To add to the sickness.. my horse, shipped the FTP 75k Aug 5. 3 ships for team illini in one week :)

Very excited cuz of all the larger events and the big series events going on, first 6-fig b4 the end of WCOOP, that's my goal... hopefully can make it happen :)

31 hour session completed

Just finished up a 31 hour session with a 2 hour nap... Ended up being a good session, had 4 FTs w/ two wins

5th in FTP 129 ko
1st in FTP 11 rush turbo
4th in FTP 30r
1st in Stars 100r for 18k

The last one was the big one and felt great even though I mistyped on the last hand ! Been very close to shipping the Stars 100r many, many times and have never done it till now :)

30 hour session

Startin around a 30 hour session (first time for 24 hr+ session)... started at about 4 pm, regging until Wednesday 8pm, may get like 3 hours of sleep at night when there are 0 high stakes trnys for a few hours... follow me on PS, FTP!!

Back in the chi

Haven't updated this in a while.. been on a pretty massive downswing between playing and staking, so not too many positive things to write about. WSOP/Vegas was not very profitable, but obv it happens, it's poker... Back in the suburbs of Chicago now and planning on putting in big online volume again and ending this downswing :)
Next live event will prob be WSOPE main event

Goal

Feel like I played my best live poker ever two days ago in the WSOP 5k 6-max.. made it to day 2 with 60-70 bigs, but busted 3rd hand two pair over higher two pair, blind vs blind. Very shitty to lose that quickly when I felt really on my game, but gettin a much better feel for live finally.

Also, got a new goal and very much think I can accomplish this... want to be #1 ranked online player (in some ranking system, don't care which one) in the next 3 months. Just something to get me motivated, really think this can happen as soon as I start putting in more online volume after WSOP

Swings

Not a ton has been goin on lately... lost the 5k last Tuesday on a bad beat early in the trny to give me a good stack and made the dinner break in the 1k but busted shortly afterwards. In the last week tho, Sundays have been the only real bright spot.

Last Sunday ended up being a pretty painful day... took 8th in the Sunday Million (biggest weekly online trny) and my horse "nickdawgg" got 30th. The spot I lost in it was for a monster chip lead and guaranteed me essentially at least a top 3 finish and a 6-fig score... what can ya do tho? :/

Yesterday ended up being another bittersweet Sunday. Nick and I both had chip leads in two of the early sunday trnys... the 100r for Nick and the FTP $163 150k for me. Nick ended up finishing 5th and I ended up getting 4th, both against very weak fields so not the finishes we were looking for. Also, made a big run in the Sunday 500 which was a trny I shipped last March... really wanted to make some online poker history and get a double ship in this trny but ended up getting 16th losing JJ < AA.

A lot going on in next few weeks and a lot for me to think about. This house in Vegas is real sick and i'm havin a great time, also had time to go ziplining last week through the mountains :)

Soooo close

Have had a very up and down last few days... havent been getting much goin in WSOP and have bricked all my events in last few days. My horse "nickdawgg" got 6th in the Venetian 1k, which was a disappointing finish for the trny but he played ass off, cards just didnt go right.

A few hours ago... I just finished making an epic run in the million where I def thought I was shipping, everything really seemed to be falling in place and I felt I could easily run over the field. Ended up getting 8th losing AK to QQ for monster chip lead after flopping A on flop, really lame finish but nothing I can do... felt good about my game in this trny and really want this to carry over into this coming week. Playin the 1.5k 6-max wsop event tomorrow and if I don't make day 2 i'm playing the 5k event tuesday. Juaaaannnn timeee

New blog/Start of WSOP

So... i'm very new to this blogging thing, but I want to keep my friends/family/interested observers updated on what's going on in my poker life

WSOP started on Monday for me with Event 5... 1.5k No Limit Hold 'Em, ended up getting a pretty disappointing finish of 159th... essentially a min. cash. I was real happy with the way I played though, I got moved to the feature table with the CL to start day 2 and felt real good, cards just didnt go my way though today.

Had my 2nd event today, another 1.5k NLHE (No Limit Hold 'Em) event... had a very soft table that I was doin well at till one big misread that cost me my trny. Real pitts day, but no big deal.. wsop just startin :)

There are 3 more hold' em events going on in next 3 days, so I will most likely be involved in 2 of those... Wish me luck and thanks every1 for the support!
